In Greene County district court David Michael Cannon, 39, of Grand Junction was sentenced Nov. 17 to two years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. Cannon was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge. He must also pay $456.59 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $592.59 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
David Duane Mohr Jr, 63, of Ogden was sentenced to two days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- first offense. He may complete a community college OWI school in lieu of the jail time He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Mohr was fined $1,250 with a $437.50 surcharge and a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education (DARE). Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Brett Dwaine West, 41, of Jamaica, burglary- third degree (motor vehicle) and theft- second degree; and Eddie Jermaine Lee, 35, of Fort Dodge, OWI- first offense and driving while license revoked. A trial date of Jan. 23 was set for West, and of Jan. 9 for Lee.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Joshua Jerome Baker, 31, of Leon has been charged with possession of marijuana- first offense. The case was initiated Sept. 24; the warrant was returned Nov. 20.

Zuniga Jr, 18, of Jefferson, unlawful possession of prescription drug and possession of contraband in correctional institution; Tesa Whitney Hoyle, 26, of Paton, OWI- second offense; and Zachary Alan Fox, 36, of Des Moines, driving while license barred.
